(6) Sullivan. This mante vision (without glasses) is Right eye 6/36: left eye 6/18. (Dr. Harsten has kindly confirmed this). What this means is that if his vision was normal he would have 6/6 vision with each eye and therefore his vision is 1/6 of normal in the right eye and 1/3 normal in the left eye.

No reliance could be placed on any statement made by this man in which reasonable visual accuracy was required.

I fear he is not suitable for duty as a policeman. It is very distressing to suggest returning 6 recruits but can see no other way out of the difficulty which is likely to be satisfactory in the end - I attach Dr. Harston's report.
